The Chimtek Inner Liner is made of a special blend of volcanic pumice agents and refractory cements to withstand extremely high temperatures and resist corrosive acids, which are present in solid-fuel gases.

The inner most part of the liner becomes hot almost instantly when a fire is started, and remains warm during periods of slow-burn. This improves the efficiency of the heating appliance and reduces creosote formation.

The Chimtek Secondary Liner consists of a very special grade of expanded clay aggregates called leca. The leca is mixed with a small amount of cement and poured in place between the Inner Liner and the outer structure of the chimney.

The high insulating qualities of the secondary liner results in efficient chimney operation in even the coldest climates.

Chimtek is designed to withstand severe chimney fires without breaking or transmitting high temperatures to adjoining comubstible materials. Chimtek has been succesfully tested to the industry's toughest saftey standards.
